Challenge
La-Z-Boy required a complete tenant fit-out for a 26,000 sq. ft. retail space in Newington, NH, with a 12-week timeline. The project involved a full façade reconstruction in an active shopping mall, requiring careful coordination to maintain pedestrian and traffic safety. Additional complexities included over 1,100 feet of floor trenching with 90+ electrical floor boxes, new lighting, millwork, and decorative finishes, all while managing unforeseen material delays.
Solution
ARA executed a phased construction plan, ensuring smooth progress while minimising disruption to the surrounding retail environment. Strategic scheduling and daily traffic rerouting allowed for the seamless demolition and installation of the new storefront system. Despite material supply challenges, close collaboration with dedicated subcontractors ensured all key milestones; including new track lighting, ceiling treatments, wall graphics, and custom millwork – were met on time. The project was successfully completed, and the store opened on December 19, just in time for holiday shoppers.
