Challenge
Giant Food needed a new supermarket built on a very tight schedule. This meant a prefabricated metal building and ground-up construction of a 50,000 square foot grocery anchor store. Indeed, this was a prototype building for the Giant Food Group, to replace the existing building. A job that was entrusted to the expertise of ARA.
Solution
Extensive work had to be carried out. 4 acres of site development had to be completed, soil remediation, and we ran into unsuitable soil, and therefore had to provide a geo-tech fabric, to then backfill soil, and add cement for stabilization. But without further constraints we were able to work quickly and effectively to serve our client’s needs in an extremely short amount of time.
